You are NOT expected to know how to code for this hackathon. We value the idea you come up with! Be sure to think about the business aspect of your idea and how to present your idea. You can follow this process: Research -> Brainstorm -> Prototype -> Business Plan -> Present
Research Tips:
Make sure to do background research about the general direction! Research can help you to define the question you are trying to solve. You may also want to do competitive analysis to see how others have tried to solve the same problem. Don't worry about it too much though, if you find others have already solved your problem in some way. You can always find where those existing products fail and where your ideas can fix those gaps.
Brainstorm Tips:
1. Digital stickers: Miro, Figma Jam, etc.
2. Methods: Affinity Diagram, SWOT analysis, etc.
3. Physical stickers (if your team decides to meet offline): You can write down or sketch your ideas on stickers and stick on walls/tables to discuss together as a team.
4. Others: snacks/food/drinksto keep you energized and generate more creative ideas!
(Thanks for Fantuan providing food devilery coupons for our participants)
Prototype Tips:
1. Online tools: Figma, Framer, etc.
2. Online resources: Resource Cards
3. Make sure to start with low-fi prototypes, which require relatively less effort so that you can have more iterations over your ideas and prototypes.
Technical Tips:
If you are going to code your products, you may find helpful APIs here.
Actionable Plan Tips:
1. MVP: Minimum Viable Product (MVP) is a version of a product with just enough core features to effectively deploy the product to be usable by early customers who can then provide feedback for future product development.
2. Business Model Canvas
Present Tips:
1. Slides: Keynote, Powerpoint, Figma, etc.
2. Online Websites: Wix etc.
